Archery

Bowbenders, the Archery club at Kendal, is an individual entity that offers visitors and locals alike an opportunity to try archery in the perfect ambiance of Kendal’s peaceful surroundings.

A wealth of knowledge (range safety, how to shoot, shooting techniques etc.) is available to beginners, and experienced archers can benefit, from coaching by highly experienced instructors.

With a range of distances from 5m to 90m, beginners and advanced archers alike can have a great time while learning or honing their skills.

Excellent club equipment is available, including:Recurve bows, carbon fibre arrows, and other accessories.

The minimum age for children is ten years, however younger children will be considered depending on their size and capability.

In the case of minors (under the age of eighteen) a parent or guardian must be present to sign the liability waiver at Kendal’s reception.

Archery is by reservation only, so please be sure to book your session ahead of time with Kendal’s reception.

The recognised members of Bowbenders club include; two national judges, three (internationally competitive) archers, and one retired international archery judge.
